heat pump reviews: what you need to know
When the time has come to replace your heat pump unit you should definitely get some unbiased reviews of the options on the market. For those that have surfed the web it is plainly evident that all reviews are not created equal. For this reason you need to understand the pieces of information that you must glean from the review.
1. Price of the heat pump – when it comes time to lay down the hard earned cash you have accumulated this is where the rubber hits the road. Make sure that the review has at least some high level price information
2. SEER ratings – when it comes to comparing one heat pump against another in terms of efficiency you really need to be checking the SEER rating. The energy star portion of the US government requires that this test be done the same across all brands and models, so you can compare apples to apples.
3. The HSPF rating on the heat pump – similar to the SEER rating mentioned above, the HSPF shows how well the unit uses the electricity supplied to heat your home. The higher the HSPF rating, the more efficient it will be in your home and thus lowering your electrical bill.
4. Brand – when it comes time to lay down your hard earned money would you rather spend it on a proven name like Carrier or Lennox or fly by the seat of your pants?
5. How big the heat pump is – finally comparing different heat pump units against each other requires you to compare units of the same size. Otherwise you could be comparing apples and oranges!
Find a good heat pump review online does not have to lead to a weekend of surfing. If you know what you need to look for then you can cut this time down considerably.
Before you purchase a heat pump online or in a store, make sure you check the quality heat pump review.
